Reaching 302 destinations in 121 countries with the cargo transport capacity of Turkish Airlines, which flies to the most countries worldwide, and operating additional direct cargo flights to 85 destinations thanks to the fleet of freighters, Turkish Cargo achieved a total of 55.614t of cargo sales in February, with an increase by 37.8% on year-on-year basis, as reported by the WACD (World Air Cargo Data).
Leveraging on this outstanding performance, Turkish Cargo’s ranking increased by five grades, reaching the 7th rank in the list of "top global air cargo carriers" of WACD, the global air cargo transportation data service provider.
Special cargo transportations, achieving a growth of 52% on year-on-year basis, played a crucial role in this outstanding performance. When the months of February in 2017 and 2018 are compared in terms of carried tonnage, Turkish Cargo performed approximately 14 tons of special cargo, and achieved a growth of 45% in valuable cargo operations, 18% in vulnerable cargo operations, 64% in perishable cargo operations, 53% in heat-sensitive medicinal cargo operations, and 50% in dangerous goods cargo operations, making its mark once again in special cargo transportation operations carried out with the efforts of dedicated teams.

It is planned to expand the cargo flight network with the new routes of Quito (Equator), Karaganda (Kazakhstan), Tokyo (Japan), Navoi (Uzbekistan), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Misurata (Libya) by the end of this year.
