Traditional Turkish Cargo Sri Lanka agency dinner and award ceremony took place with the participation of more than 100 agencies this year. Colombo’s best agents are awarded with prizes in six categories during the event, at which most of the country’s most important cargo agencies and business partners participated.
Award night started with our Sri Lanka Ambassador Mr Tunca Özçuhadar’s speech. "Air freight facilitates trade by contributing to global economic development and allowing millions of business opportunities to emerge. The ability of airlines in the global economy to offer high-quality products at competitive prices to consumers around the world is becoming more important. For this reason, Turkish Cargo strengthens its position as one of the world’s fastest growing air cargo carriers," said Özçuhadar.
Asia Far East regional director Mr. Hüseyin Ceyhan’s speech titled "Turkish Cargo’s Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" was about the network power of Turkish Cargo, the facility feature and capabilities of the IST HUB, the capacity increase at Colombo, and the of Turkish Cargo products.
Turkish Cargo has taken its place among the key players in the ever-improving Sri Lankan market by adding cargo flights to Maldives-Sri Lanka flights, which began in 2012, in November 2016.
During the event hosted by Turkish Cargo president Mr Şeref Kazancı, Asian Far East regional director Mr Hüseyin Ceyhan, and director of Colombo Mr. Özgur Suucak, lucky participants had a chance to experience a privileged flight with Turkish Airlines and visit Istanbul with the tickets given via a lottery.
Sri Lanka’s leading air cargo agencies and close business associates spent a pleasant night with local music and local dishes throughout the evet. Turkish Cargo continues to grow on the Sri Lankan air cargo market with the quality of service it has presented to its customers.
